Hello,

I was starting to install my front suspension parts when I made two discoveries.

An elongated strut rod hole on the left and a crack on the k frame above the right strut rod hole.

Suggestions welcomed.

Thanks

I would do just what Challenger RTA said. If you do not drill a hole at either end of a crack before welding, it may/will continue to crack past the weld. The holes end the crack with no chance to continue.

Also besides the washers and fixing your crack(s) as mentioned above, weld up every seem while your at it! It will make it stiffer.

Hemi cars, convertibles and I believe 440-6 cars all had torque boxes. I believe the 440-6 and Hemi K-frame just had the added skid plate for the 6 quart oil pan.
