I'm new to the forum, been a long time lurker though.

Besides bending my own does anyone know of a good source for a pump to carb fuel line? I'm looking for something that looks as close to original as possible. I've tried 2 different suppliers and had issues with each one. The one from Classic Industries (a Right Stuff Detailing product) would not seal at the carb or pump because the ID of the fuel line is larger than the factory line. And the one purchased from Fine Lines is 2 inches too short.

The 340 has the original ThermoQuad and factory style fuel pump.

Good morning. I just went through my 4" stack of receipts and for the life of me I can not find the one for the fuel line to the carb. I have a 73 Challenger Rallye with a 340 and still run the TQ, stock style fuel pump, but with an Edelbrock dual plane intake. I'll look again and get back to you if I can find it as my line fit PERFECT.

Question for you. If the fuel line you have is 2" short on the horizontal run over to the carb, you can cut it to install the inline fuel filter there and problem solved.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I could install the fuel filter there but it wouldn't look original and it wouldn't keep debris out of the pump. Original was filter before the pump near the frame rail.

At the end of the line on the carburetor is where the fuel filter goes. Then a line come up from the pump. As far as I know there was no filter before the pump unless someone put it there.

The fuel line adaptor should have a (Fiber?) washer there to seal it. What's leaking? Line or adaptor?

I have been rebuilding a walk-in shower at our house and doing landscape and irrigation at Mom's house. I was told those are my priorities by the bosses. LOL.

I'm hooked on the CAF blend from Black Rifle Coffee Company. Yum.

I can't speak for how the '71 Challenger 340 fuel line/fuel filter configuration is but I do know it was different for the '72-'73 340 Challenger. Here's a page out of a late '72 Chrysler Parts parts catalog. As you can see the fuel filter is on the inlet side of the pump. The fuel line I'm having trouble with is the 1-piece line, not the 2-piece line like I stated in my initial post. Thanks everyone that has chimed in on my post so far, it's most appreciated.

Ok got it. I bent mine from 3/8" copper nickel. It is 2 pieces with the filter by the carb. Chose your poison by the pump or the carb.

It wasn't on the list on the internet. What brand is it?
I'm surprised it wasn't. Probably because it is still a Socialist Country. Vietnamese Coffee is rival only to South American Coffee. Grown in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam. Trung Nguyen is the most famous brand. Very dark and very strong Coffee. Of course it can be drank hot, but almost all Vietnamese people drink it cold with ice. Mainly because the weather is so hot in Viet Nam. I live/play in Viet Nam in the wintertime. Brought back 2 Kilos to America with me in April.....

When I was in the navy. The Chief's had a crooked finger to hold the coffee cup. I aways wondered why they drank some much. No mater what the weather and shoot a 45 with out spilling a drop. I need a cup or two of starer fluid every morning now that I'm older. Now I know!
