All, I need some assistance with a turn signal switch as i rebuild my steering column. My 70 Challenger is a rally dash car but based on wiring schematics, it currently has a signal switch for a standard cluster. as you can see in the picture, I have no idea why the splice was made.

As I shop for a signal switch, some are described as for a "non-tilt" column and "without cornering lights." I understand the no tilt but what "cornering lights"? could those be the lights on top of the fenders?

Hope i'm making sense!

Thanks!!

There's only one turn signal switch, it doesn't matter whether it's standard or rallye dash. The 70 switch is a very rare, one year only part, they are extremely hard to find new and very expensive if you do find one. Aftermarket replacements are not that great. Send your original switch to Tommy White at Parts Hound to restore, or repair it yourself if possible. Otherwise, before you discard it, send me a message I might buy it off you.

Lots of good info in this thread on turn signal switches-

If your old switch works, use it or have it rebuilt like Ev3RTSE mentioned. The aftermarket switches are not good.
