On my seventy three barracuda , with a rally dash.. Passenger side turn signal and hazard works.Driver side does not... I have no power coming from the turn signal harness from the - on the white wire that I believe feeds the left turn signal. It turns into a light green wire, and the turn signal switch\n Any help would be appreciated. I read something about it ties in with the brake light switch.Somehow , I think

I think we were here before. Same problem but different? Did you replace the switch?

R F turn signal -------Tan---------------------Yellow/ Blk Stripe ------------------Dark Blue

Emg Flasher ----------Pink-------------------RED --------------------------------------Brown

L R turn signal-------Dark Green----------- Lt Green --------------------------------Yellow

R R turn signal-------Brown-----------------Yellow -----------------------------------Dark Green

AAW wiring. So you needed to cut the plug from the switch? This is what the colors would be on a new turn signal switch. The AAW wiring colors. Figure F. The Mopar wiring colors. My opinion: If you have the the car side of the turn signal sw plug. I would cut it with enough wire to remove the insulation. Then soldier the AAW wires to the plug wires and have shrink tube on before soldiering. Or get one. That way you retain ease of replacement and or trouble shooting. They are low current.

BEAWARE After market switch colors may vary. Pay no attention to the color chart in the picture. I have no idea what it is referring to.

The picture below shows the bullet connector. To remove there are 2 stabs on the side that stick out. I use a very small screw driver to push the tabs down. Then carefully move them back in place before installing if need be. Same for the other connector. There is a tool for that. I don't have one I just didn't know better way back when. I stuck myself a few time. I still don't hare the tool.

I do not have the original plug. This was in the column when I got it.. If I take and get those plns out and put them into the plug according to the mopar, turn signal wiring diagram. You have above.isthat at all I need to do... Make sure the new wires match the mopar wiring color.... I guess the big question is knowing what the colors are on the existing switch and where they go. The switch that I have does not match the aftermarket. Switch colors in the list.

From what it looks like. Pay no attention of the color of the wires. Just go and match the wire location. It looks like the white and red are the only ones that match the original color.

If you want to check it. Take a jumper wire from the white brake wire to white that will give power to the switch. Use a test light to ground to each signal switch wire when engaged.

Everything goes through the turn signal switch , pink to the brake switch , white up the column to the switch , then 4 wires out to the 4 signal lights the brake lights should activate the 2 wires at the rear & interrupt with signals , , 2 wires for each turn signal L&R , and all 4 wires with hazard lights.
Keep in mind that each light has a ground.

LOLI have a new issue.Wish I was good at reading schematics.. the park lights work. The turn signals work, but for some reason when I push on the brake.I have a passenger side brake light. No driver side brake light, but I do have a light on the driver's side. For the turn signal comes on with the brake light. It's got to be a wire

This is the switch that I used... One picture shows the current color of the wires... The other picture shows that I just swapped the yellow wire.. I thought I had it until I tried the brake lights passenger side.Brake light works driver side front turn signal light comes on with the break pushed.\nNo driver side brake light.

Can anyone tell me how my wiring should go? As far as the plug with what I have in the pictures, thanks\n Sorry for the confusion. I'm just not that good at figuring things out like that. I thought I had it LOL

If one brake light works the other one should too. Bad bulb, socket, wire or ground. The cheap bulb will go in wrong.View attachment 153798
I was thinking the same thing I swapped the bulb with a new one. Still the same thing, the parking lights work. Both sides, the turn signals work both sides. When I push on the brake, the passenger side works driver side does not But Driver side front turn signal lights up when the break is pushed.

Behind the drives kick panel. Unplug the rear harness. That will narrow it down where it's at. At the front plug use a test light to ground. One at a time. Test for power for the brake light. Do left and right turn signals and parking lights.

Black, Dark Green and Brown.

Then take power from the bottom of the fuse panel Batt connection. Fused jumper would be a bad idea. It should be ok. Apply power to each wire brake, park. The blue wire is the sending unit need not be done.

Keep in mind the socket need a ground.

I will try that. I just ran that rear new harness. A couple of days ago... I also installed the new turn signal, switch on Friday.Had to swap the 2 yellow wires on the current switch.I am using.\nYeah , the turn signals working didn't check the brake lights until today.... Also have new wiring harness going to the front as well... Like I said , everything works exactly like it should except for the driver's side , brake light is out in the back and brings on the front turn signal light crazy....lol
