Hello, Can anybody tell me how to tell an original '70 grill from a repop? I think mine may have been switched.

Post some pictures and if possible and look for a factory part number molded in the grill.

If it has been replaced & it is difficult to tell you probably have a far better grille than 55 year old brittle plastic

a newly painted vintage grill will look pretty good, but if its a repop, I bet the flanges on top wont be very aged. or the u-clips holding the turn signals.

Thanks Corgman. I will check those areas. I would think i could find a mopar print on it but can’t. Maybe if it was off the car. But thanks for the info.

I agree! I just replaced my original grill with a new Goodmark grill and the fit is much better than the old grill!

Here is my Original Perfect Grille from my 70 Cuda. Waiting to go back in the car after paint. Numbers are on the left side near the headlamp bezel. It is on the backside. See pics.

In general, a good repop will include the original part number.

To recap, it's on the back side of the grill, at the driver-side end adjoining the "headlight door".

I can assure you that this is the original grille to this car. I am the first person to disassemble this car since it left the factory...
