Hi, New Guy from Detroit Area

Hi everyone! I'm just another E Body fan like you guys. I've been on other sites for E bodies as Snowdog or Snowdoggie, for awhile. Just thought I'd check you guys out. Grew up in Southwest Detroit area in the seventies. When to Melvindale HS, it was within a short walking distance to the beautiful Zug Island, Had a 1970 Cuda 383 4 spd in high school and I kept in forever, I just sold it in the last year or two to a guy in CA, it was a very rough restoration project. I still have a 1970 Challenger, that I also kept forever. I'm trying to decide if I should keep it or sell it. Both of the cars have been in storage for the last 40 years, more or less. I do have have a current 2019 Challenger T/A B5 Blue and a 2005 Mustang GT to round things out.

Yep, I remember you too. You moved to Panama from Canada awhile back, if remember correctly. Also you were always helpful answering engine, cam size and other e body questions.

Yes on the 4 spd and no console, I don't think it's an R/T. But let me know, see the fender tag decoder, let me know you thoughts. I wasn't the original owner.

Yep, that what I thought, but I'm no expert when it comes decoding, or anything else for that matter. Ya, was just looking over that decoder print out a couple of days ago and noticed that about the rear valance and dual exhaust tips. They must have been added on later. Is there anyway to tell if the Rally dash is correct? Or do I need the broadcast sheet for that? I sort of thought it wasn't an R/T because it had a flat hood, that somebody added a mid-rise prostock hood scoop on to it later (Not me). See pic below. It also, had a 440 in pieces when I bought way back when.

So, here's a funny story on the engine. My HS buddy that bought the car, from bought it from some guys in Detroit, he didn't know much about cars at the time and was told by the sellers it was a 440 Sixpack. Well it turned out to be a 383 with a sixpack intake and carbs, which I didn't even know existed at the time. I had my Cuda back then and was familiar with the difference of a 440 vs 383, AKA the 440 had engine number pad next to the distributor, this engine it didn't have one. Luckily, my other buddy was with me to verify that fact since he had Lime green Challenger with a 440 in it and showed him the difference. He later bought a 440 in pieces from the guy with Challenger, he lost interest in the car and that's when I bought it.
