16" or 17" Rally Wheels

17" rallye rims have been out of stock for a long time.
I would prefer 16" but I think I will be stuck with 15". 17" I found but they are all aluminum. I want to make the wheels look original but larger. Trying real hard to keep that look. Even the engine look. Its going to be the 318 but its going to have much more power.

With 16" rims, you are limited with tire choice. 17" have more options

...and 18 have more tire choice than 17, and 16s are getting harder and harder to find and 15 selection sucks. Its a bit of a wild goose chase as tire manufactures continue to evolve the performance tire genre.

IMO, stay with 15s, get a nice cosmetic performance tire, driver it regularly and try to wear it out before it dry rots.
