I just got a 72 challenger that has a 360. I was gladly surprised it had a 1972 360 block that matched the year which was a cool little easter egg find. Anyone know what vin has 3f to see what this came out of its worked with cam etc but would be nice to know what engine is from. Photos enclosed

"3F" would indicate a 1973 motor and a vehicle from the Newark Delaware plant. The 6-16-72 casting date supports an early 73 motor. this

The year can be confirmed by the front of the block beneath the driver's side cylinder head. There would be a "J" for 1973 ( or "H" for 1972). They build A-bodies and C-bodies in Newark. Some one correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 360's where only in C-bodies and trucks until 1974 when the 340 was discontinued in 1973.
