Hello,

I currently have a 3" straight dual exhaust in my Cuda, and I'm going to install a stock-ish early 360.
I know it's way oversize for a 360, but how would a small block behave with such a big exhaust system ?

Thanks

Just about zero back pressure! Be almost like running open exhaust.

For a stockish small block (360 or smaller), 2 1/4" is more than adequate. For a big block or stroker small block, 2 1/2" is really nice. For high performance big block and stroker big blocks, 3" is good.

So you see where your at.

I ran a 3” TTI full exhaust behind a 360 with stock heads, a 284/484 Mopar Performance cam and Edelbrock intake. Was it overkill? Yes. But sounded great and I was planning for future upgrades. Leave it and focus on the next task unless you really want to replace it for a more stock setup or maybe better ground clearance depending on your installation.

More air in and out is always beneficial. I have 2 1/2 on my small block and she puts almost 440 hp and 436 ft lbs on the ground. Good fitment and clears everything nicely.
