I was told to buy a 70 bumper and brackets that would bring bumper in . I got both from amd . 70 brackets are at a harsh angle and my 74 was not. Any idea if I need another part ?

I’m confused on how ? The 74 bumper looks the exact same other than where bumper guards bolt to . How is the angle so far off from the two years ?

My 74 had a very different rear mount from what yours has , mine had a beam across the rear of the car inside the bumper , possibly the frame where it mounts is on a different angle . The 70 mount looks correct to what my 70 has .

I made new brackets for my '74 and removed the bumper brace. The chrome bumper part bolts to the brace, and the brace bolts to the mounting brackets, hence the angle on the factory brackets
