Matt, I think black on a Challenger is the best looking combination with a white bumble stripe. JMO
Your old A66 sure looked good. I would have loved to have owned it myself!

Thanks
It was a nice solid car. I sold it when I downsized and moved to FL. I wish I would have kept it.
I currently own a B Body V-Code car and I am trying to get back into a 340 4 Speed E Body.

Matt, I'd love to see fender tag or broadcast sheet info on that car! It is beautiful!

I had to flip back to see the black one I posted on page 1 to see if it was the same combo. I like your old car better, that white rump stripe just sets it off. You should have kept it.:BangHead::poke:

Hi Ben
I had a ton of photos of this car on a computer that took a dump. I will try to find a photo of the fender tag. I did not ever find a B.S.
The car did not have many options on it. Standard Dash, PS and a couple others including the tail stripe.
Something interesting on this car was it had a warranty replaced transmission with all the paper work from the dealership including a receipt for the $25 they charged the owner for the replacement core charge.
The car went to Canada about 5 years ago and I have not seen it since.

Matt, Interestingly enough, I have 3, TX9 A66 Challengers in the A66 Registry. 2 are stripe deletes. One was recently purchased by the new owner. It is a black/white interior w a white bumble stripe. Car has drum brakes, a sure grip, and hood pins. Does this sound like your old car?

Two the the Registry TX9, A66 cars are automatics. Only the one w the white bumble stripe is a 4 sp.

Here are a couple more photos of the car I found.

I never did call the car a survivor, the car has original paint, but the previous owner to me freshened up the engine bay which I really wish he wouldn't have because I saw photos of it prior to his work. It looked great in its original state.

Thanks Matt,
I was wondering about the tail panel, I see it was part of A63 molding group, very rare on non-SE...

Anyone know who purchased this A66 Challenger on ebay awhile back? It was a project car, matching numbers w a rallye dash, am 8 track, molding packages and factory AC in EW1 white w a black interior. A late Hamtramck car 505 with Cali emissions. Price was listed at $6500.

Really nice A66 Challenger TX9 that once belonged to a member of the Challenger A66 Group. Car was a stripe delete, with an am 8 track, rallye dash and hood pins. It is listed on the A-66 Registry. The car was exported to Sweden awhile back.

Sweden has many Challenger fans and many cars have been exported there over the years.
I once owned an RT SE 440 Challenger in rallye red that was exported there in the 1980's.
Specific to A-66 Challengers, here are the stats for A-66 Challengers in Sweden:
Interesting Statistics on number of Challengers in Sweden; listed on the Swedish Registry totals;
total Challengers in Sweden-478.
Total A66 HOB hardtops-5,
Total HOE hardtops 2.
A-66 Convertibles;
Total JH27 active- 4,
JH27 non-active-1.
JH27 deleted 2.
Was a total of 7- JH27 verts on their registry.
Basically, a total of 14 A66 Challengers in Sweden.

One last point regarding Sweden's A66 Challengers;
As stated above, there are a total of 14 total A-66 Challengers there;
Half are JH27 convertibles and half are hardtops.
Pretty good ratio on the number of convertibles there!

I know I raised this earlier; if you need a 340 orange pie pan for your air cleaner, it may be a time to grab one from a vendor while you can. Ma Mopar discontinued the item. I initially went to Rosevile, and they refunded my order (no longer available) I picked one up at this vendor at a higher cost of course!
