accent stripes

Does anyone know if option codeV7F (accent stripes-green) mean green stripes? I can only find white or black.There is also a mention of painted stripes?? but am unsure what this means

No, that is V5F. That definitely has green.
V7F are accent stripes down the body of the car.
@strycker Can you please post the fender tag of the car. That might help a bunch.

I always liked these two style stripes on the 70. They just seem to complete it.

Green (V9F) Especially when blend in with the body color.

It's all a meter of personal preference.

The second tag is an inspection tag from a line inspector. 2H apparently was his number.
These are fairly common on 70-71 cars. Seems even more on 71's.
Something on your car had to be specifically inspected and stamped by the inspector.
Cool tag to have, history of your specific car.
Do you have a broadcast sheet for your car?

A very low VON. #178 with a G VON.
I do believe the G signifies the sunroof. Or an exterior modification.
M51 is the code for the sunroof.
A broadcast sheet would shed more light on that subject. Not that anyone is questioning it.

I could never decide which stripe I like better. So I have one of each. I do like the green on green though.

Yes, it is my understanding that the second tag was sent to final inspection once done on the line just to have additional random inspections done on every selected individual cars for quality control. One of my 70's has a long narrow inspection tag that is tucked under the fender tag now. I tucked it underneath so it would not ever get broken off. It has multiple code and letters stamped into as well. It's hard to see, but it is there. I have only ever have 2 other people comment about it

Thanks for the replies.This car,seems to have been built for the vice-president of Chrysler Canada (no longer exists) Moncton New Brunswick.It was shipped out to LaSalle autos Quebec,Canada(can,t find any records of it) I have record showing it was Ziebarted on Oct 23/70 and registered to a Georges Blake 3 days later(oct 26/70) in Quebec.No private person could have undercoated it before registering in their name unless they were in direct association with Dodge America.It was then sent to Moncton and received by Norm Macklem VP of Chrysler for him to show clients the Challenger line.Norm sold it to his son Terry,who sold it to a friend Boyd Anderson (city counselor) who upgraded the 318 to a 340 with 360 j heads (what does the J stand for?) Have a picture of the car qualifying for a race with the # 68 on the side.I bought it from him in 1975 I drove it 1 winter and noticed the Ziebarting had rusted the vehicle bad enough that I parked it in 76 in my old garage and it stayed there til 8 or 9 yrs ago when I was able to afford a frame up restoration.I paid for the bodywork but had to assemle it myself.(I'm sure I messed up here and there,but have been driving it for the last 4 summers.And now you know the rest of the story
