Access holes (?) on inner fenders

New Member and my first Mopar. I have a 70 Challenger and was wondering what are the large cutouts in both inner fenders that are located down low and near the firewall for? Also, what are the one's adjacent to the alternator and under the battery tray for? They are sealed with a rubber or plastic flap. Thanks.

They allow access to the upper control arm bolts to adjust alignment .

I believe the rubbery ones are just splash shields

The rubber ones allow access to the rear bolts , I use them for adjustment all the time .
