Battery: What are you using and why.

Battey with low CCA.
An other Walmart battery.
A little more than a month ago I bought 3 batteries. One was for my truck. I had it check a while back and it showed low CCA. It would crank slow. If it sat for a few days it wouldn't start. Wouldn't you no it, it starts every time now! I didn't change the battery.
By the way the truck has been staring with the old battery for the last few weeks. It has been sitting for a week or two and it starts.

I had this happen again a little more than month ago. Car battery would not seem to charge all the time. OK no big deal I'll go get an other battery. A few days earlier I put in a battery that I knew was good. On the way there to get an other battery. The car was acting up. Did an about face. Made it half way home. Had my son bring an other one.

Scratched my head. Check batteries and charging system. (All depends where you check!) GOOD???? It has to be a ground. Took alternator off and cleaned mounting areas, holes and bolts.
VOILA! Not problem since then.

The reason I didn't think of the ground. The end of March the wife was hit in the front driver side where the battery was. Thought that maybe the battery was done in by that impact. It was a hit and run and the he was caught later.

Once again. VOILA! No problem since.
