Bucket seats

Hi Guys
70 cuda
Were there different type of front buckets some with hard backs and some without seem like the padding is different are there some years with both our when did the change to vinyl uposter backs

70-71 were basically the same bucket seats with a different pattern. Now the seat backs in 70 and early 71 were the same hard seat back with separate pot metal hinge covers. Sometime early on the 71's they switched to one piece seat back with the hinge covers molded into the plastic.

I'm thinking 72 is when they switched to the all vinyl seat covers but I could be wrong , I don't remember my old 72 rallye having hard seat backs. I know 73-74 had the all vinyl seat covers with plastic hinge covers.

72 was early hard back, late soft back. I don't know a change over date.
