Hello. I have a carb problem with my Holley 650 double pumper. The engine will start however the idle drops right down and it quits after a minute or so.

I removed the manual choke and butterfly in the carb since it was closing on occasion. Are there any holes that need to be filled in ??

I took off the fuel bowls, cleaned the needle and seats and re-set the float levels. I have changed the fuel pump and fuel filter.

Thanks !!

If you are starting it cold without the choke plate it will not stay running until there is some heat in the intake . Once it is warm it should idle OK though .
There are no holes that need to be filled in when removing the choke
