what is the purpose of the electrical connections on the heater box
this is my heater box and the wire diagram
guess I will trace out the wires to see if they are hooked up correctlyBTW. When that resistor opens up on a leg, the blower motor many times only has off and a single speed instead of 3 speeds.

the resister can fail only allowing high speed to work
Ithe resister can fail only allowing high speed to work
question answeredThe reason that resistor is mounted in the heater box is when the blower is on, it is moving air past that resistor helping to cool the coils. Not sure if that was your question or not.
where did you get this wiring diagram????The wires through the resistor controls the blower motor speed. The one I show is non A/C and is two speed. Yours is a 3 speed blower motor. Your plug looks like what is in this drawing showing 3 speeds. The resistor and switch determine speed of blower motor.

have power to the lite green at the switch, but no where else. no power coming out of wire on fire wall at harness plug. inspected the resistor and it look like new....The wires through the resistor controls the blower motor speed. The one I show is non A/C and is two speed. Yours is a 3 speed blower motor. Your plug looks like what is in this drawing showing 3 speeds. The resistor and switch determine speed of blower motor.

thanksGreat news that all is good.

now that I got it running, I never noticed that there is no OFF position on the fan switch..with ignition or accessory on the fan runs.. ????? does it turn off somehow?Great news that all is good.

just went and checked---Switch says Low /High. jiggled it a bit see if it turns off--no off position---PerplexedThe fan switch should be able to start and stop the blower motor.
here is picture of my panelSomething not right there the switch definitely switches on and off the motor and adjusts the speeds.
