Hey guys,

So my dash indicator lights are not working. I can't seem to nail down the issue. The turn signals and markers work on the car. Floor hi beam works.

Brake
High beam
Right and left turn signal

Where does the 12 volt power come from? Where does the ground need to be for the cluster?

All the wiring is brand new with a new bulkhead, the lights didn't work before the new wire either. New turn signal switch as well.

What could be the issue? Forward light harness?

Typically, it's the dash dimmer. Try twisting it back & forth a few times. If that doesn't work, it will have to come out for a good cleaning or rebuild. JS does a great job on a rebuild.

Power to these lights comes from an orange 3-hole connector under the dash. The orange wire from the light bar plugs into it. Ground is from the dash frame when you screw the light bar into it.

I'm not talking about my dash lights but good exlination on those!

I am talking about my turn signal light indicators, brake light and high beam indicator on the dash.

Ohhhh, that's a different animal altogether. I've never seen them all not work like that. I'll give it some thought...

They all ground on the gauge housing, so I doubt it's a ground issue.

Yeah, I checked with a test light on my high beam indicator socket worth the high beams on and there isn't 12 volts with the spring pressed down. I can only imagine it's the same with the other lights. Just can't figure out where the power comes from. It's a new turn signal switch and all my turn signals work...

The turn signals and brake lights are tied into the turn signal switch located inside the steering column.
I have had several Challengers with your same problem.
Change the turn signal switch- should solve your problem!
Make sure you get one for your model year ebody!

It's a brand new switch and everything else works.. still could be bad?

Have you got the service manual?
There are wiring schematics in there that will help you. Find the bulb you want to fix and work backward.
I think you may have more than one fault those lights you mention are most likely separate circuits.
The brake light if it is the same as my 71 Challenger will light up from two feeds. The brake distribution/warning valve under the hood or when you operate the emergency brake.
Have you checked the bulbs light up and are the right type? Make sure your test probe has a good earth.

I just tore apart my dash and fixed a lot of ground issues including those. I believe those lights ground to the housing themselves, kind of like the tail lights do. However if they are all out you will have to trace the line back further to find the problem.

From memory the dash indicators are connected in parrallel with the rear indicators connector in the L/H kick panel so if the rear indicators are working then the link between the rear indicator & the dash indicators is open it looks like they are parralleled at the indicator switch on the light green & tan wires.
This of course is assuming you have a good ground at the indicator light.
