Fuel tank grommet R&R

Well I got-R-Done! It was actually pretty easy to take the old grommet out and put the new one in. The hardest part was pulling the fuel filler tube out and especially putting it back in. It was very hard to get it to go back in. I ended up using silicone lube spray. If you google vaseline for rubber most of the info says do not use vaseline on rubber. Now the grommet is probably not actually rubber but some other compound like nitrile, EPDM or Neoprene. Either way most recommendations were to use a silicone based grease or lubricant so that's what I used. Hope for the best! Here's a few pics of the project. Never mind all the rust in the trunk. That's the next project LOL!
