Gas Tank Filler Tube Grommet

Hey,
i've got an anoying problem with this grommet it breaks like every 4 weeks... is there any special trick with it?

what is the tube for that goes from the grommet? Is it the inlet? Edit: yeah filler tube...

What do you mean it "breaks?" Cracks? Coming apart?

From the looks of the pic, it looks like the filler tube has grabbed it and pulled it away from the tank. Try some petroleum jelly on the inside of the seal when you put the filler tube in.

Yes seems to be like you told but it somehow even cracks and is not just pulled out i'll defeinitely do it with petroleum jelly this time!
