Did you go with an all new wiring harness for the gauges or did you re-purpose an original wiring harness? That looks like an awesome car, by the way.

Thanks...I actually bought a new dash harness from year one....but after pulling the old one out I could have gotten away without it..I figured I'd sell the old one and make some of the money back...it's a rally 3 speaker dash with all the wiring....I'm betting on the factory gauges not working which is why I'm going with the other set up...everything is hooked up so we will see....I sent the clock out to have the quartz upgrade so i know it will work....I'm going to roll the dice on the speedo and tach for now...im just really ready to get this thing on the road!

I got tired of looking at this poor girl in her current state...a good friend of mine who owned a shop is coming to take her to his shop in a month or so to get it running and finish the brakes....he said 5 1/2 years is enough!!! I’m very thankful for this!!! So I’m the meanwhile I got a wild idea and I decided to paint it semi gloss black with brass monkey color wheels (not done yet) like the newer challengers. I’m waiting on my new seats to finish the interior....I should be able to driver her home within the next month or so! Can’t wait!!!!!!! Oh I know the flat black is kinda overused but I don’t have the $$ to paint it yellow like I want..that will be a no more child support present to me next year!!..just want her to look presentable which for never painting a car or using a spray gun I’m happy and learned a ton!!!

Worked on getting the door panels cleaned up....not a fan of
The wood grain so I got it all off and painted it black like the rest of the interior....now just to wire up the fan and fuel pump!!..

Sorry for your loss. What suspension did you do in the front and what was needed for viper brake setup. Just spindle?

thanks....I bought the viper kit off of a member years ago..I will say you have to use a drum brake spindle .Dr. Diff now sells everything you need to do it minus the calipers...My car is all hotchkis underneath minus the upper tubular control arms which are CAP..I didnt like the adjustable ones Hotchkis offered at the time...

This might help some of you taller guys like me get in and out of the car...I’ve always love the sparco steering wheels so I put one in my car...it’s removable which makes it a lot easer to get in and out of the car...I’m 6’2 220

The Summit seats I picked up look like they are copied from those. I will put them in when the car comes out of storage. I'm sure they won't be as nice as the Corbeau but better than the torn stockers. I'm 6'2" 230 so I understand the issues of getting in and out. Lot harder at 52 than it was with my first Cuda when I was 16 and seventy pounds lighter. If I have some extra from this year's bonus I think I might try the Corbeau version. The Summit version is pretty plain. Summit Racing® Sport Seats SUM-G1159-2

A friend of mine has them in his 68 charger....actually they are not bad! and your right anything is more comfortable that the stock seats! I will say they are high quality wish I had the extra money to get the leather but Im not disappointed and they are worth the $$
