Not new to mopars but new to this site. Im a long time member of Fabo. I use the same name over there too so some of you probably know me.
I recently made a deal on not one but two ebodys. I love all old cars especially mopars, and barracudas especially if the E variety has always been my favorite i purchased my dream car back in 2003 it was a 1972 plymouth barracuda 318 3 speed. I did a little work to it but never had the money to restore it I did enjoy the weak 318 I built for it. Well in 2009 me and wife bought our first home and I had to sell it for the down payment. I always said I'd buy another one but in the last few years with the prices of ebodies skyrocketing I just accepted that I'd never own another one. Well its a long story that I can tellnof yall want to hear it all, but I found not one but two in my price range so im buying them both. One is a 1974 barracuda the other is a 74 challenger and both are extremely rough. Im gonna have my work cut out for me. When I get them in my possession I will post some pictures. It will probably be a little while before I start working on them. I want to finish my dart first. It's almost done just needs interior and paint.

We're glad you joined us! It sounds like you're working up a collection... I can't stop myself either. Being that I also have a Valiant as well as a Challenger, I probably ought to be over at FABO too.

If you know Stretch over at FABO, that's one of my best friends. Literally the nicest guy I've ever met, and an amazing friend.
I think i have seen him post before. I don't think he is super active but it seems like iv seen that name.

He's got a metallic-blue '65 Valiant 100 currently on a rotisserie and an unrestored F1 Pale Green '73 Charger Rallye, 340/4-speed. I imagine he spends most of his time there in the early-A area since that's what he's got. I doubt he posted any of the work we did on my car, which was significant: new floors, rebuilt rocker, two frame rails, leaf-spring relocation w/sliders, 4-speed and V8 conversions, K-H discs, etc.

There's way more work into that stupid car than it'll ever be worth and it still looks like crap, which was the whole idea in the first place. I love a good sleeper. 😁

Howdy and welcome from Colorado!

Looks like you have two a/c cars there. White interior on one of them. Pretty nice stack of metal.
Good time to separate the challenger stuff, sell it as chally's are hot and put the money into your bad ass cuda'.
I gotta ask though, what's the fender tag readout?
Or at least, did the 74 cuda happen to be a 360 with d21 ? Any special options or anything? Or is it a build it as you like car?

nothing wrong with the chally, just sayin.

fabo has something like 50,000 members. It's kind of a rough place to find people. Lots of info over there. Definitely some jerks.
I look everyday over there as I have an "A", but I don't participate much there.

Its a good place yea there are some jerks but that's what the ignore button is for haha. I was incorrect the Barracuda is a 73 not 74 it is a bs23 (cuda) but its a 318 auto not 340 i think the 74 started 360s they are both ac cars which I thought was really cool iv never owned a ac classic car. The plan is (was) to sell the challenger to pay for the cuda. But now im kinda considering keeping them both. I have really been wanting to build a race car for a while so I thought about using all the good parts to build the cuda for a nice driver and make the challenger a race car. Lol we will see

:welcome: aboard. Keep them both. If you need a race car , save the E-body and cut up something else. A & B-bodies are much more plentiful.
Yea I love my abodies too. I have a 75 dart swinger I'm in the process of fixing up. I just got running back in December. Its got a mild 360 that I built myself. You are right about cutting up any mopar but especially an ebody. If I made a race car out of one it would be a dot class I wouldn't cut or cage it or do anything I couldn't reverse lol
