Just thought to say hello...

I'm in Central CT and my most favoritist toy is my 71 Challenger. I am the second owner, buying it off the the nice lady that bought it new in Georgia, then moved closer to me in Massachusetts.

Here's some pictures from right after I got it last year (at Carlisle, no less)

I promise to have new pictures up soon, got a couple on my memory card, and I'm also waiting for today's autocross results pictures to be posted (first time out)

Thanks for the warm welcome, hoping to share my trials and tribulations and report what really works on these cars.

Rob, yup, went racing Sunday. Got the sunburn to prove it... First time out... I know 4 things:

1) 39 year old rear end oil seals don't do well on high g turns
2) I am under-tired (currently 245/45ZR17 street tires, going to 275/40ZR17 slicks)
3) I am under-powered, the 2bbl 318 is about 80hp behind the next closest competitor (Merkur XR4Ti, turbo 2.3L Ford
4) I am really rusty... its been 2 years. But I'm not the slowest thankfully...

So I have 3 weeks to make some adjustments... at least I'm done with school for the moment.

1) I feel ya on the age of the car. I'm 43 and acting like your car. Which may be better than 90% of men my age, but it is annoying!

2) I could use bigger rubbers as well. I tried the trojan Magnum condoms and found that ... er wrong topic... never mind.......:(

3) What happened to the LD4B? And do you need a carb to go with it. I only have Carters on hand. A few AFB's, a few AVS's. Sorry, no Holleys.

4) I don't wanna talk about rust. I just crawled out from under my Cuda a couple of days ao.... Cough cough hack hack....

But the 360 is in it!

I have a Holley 670 Street Avenger. I have it so when I go 360 I shouldn't really need another carb, or at least something to get it up and running with it. 4bbl swap just got pushed farther down... Great weather = driving it! That's actually something I wanna get done soon. My 340 manifolds just came in yesterday so I can go dual exhaust.

Congrats on getting the 360 in it! I take it the Duster's sold so you can concentrate on the 'cuda now!

YES! Duster sold yo a young-ish gun. (29 year old) and he promtly went out racing, blew the engine. Nicccccccccccce huh?

He's now doing a 360, LOL!

And yea, gettin back into the Cuda. I think I would have sold the Magnum by now, but it was called for duty. Wifes tranny in the Ford has issues.

I'm doing 340 manifolds to summit dual exhaust, I'm going to have my bro install it. Money well spent on the labor portion. He knows he's going to have to get manifolds to kit pipes bent. I've got some time this week to work on it at least.
