One example is they they use the term “posi” instead of “sure-grip...”.

This drives me NUTS and I don’t know why!!!

Someone looks at your Challenger and states " I had a Charger like this many years ago!"

What's really bad is when people go into my shop and see my 74 Charger Rallye sitting there and call it a Challenger with my 71 Challenger sitting right there next to it. I politely correct them.

I expect my Barracuda to be called a Challenger, Charger, General Lee (it`s orange) and even, ugh, a Camaro by spectators who are not "car" people but when it`s another classic car owner or worse a classic Mopar owner I cringe.

Just stumbled on this thread and have to say, I've heard most of them and laughed hard. Thanks for the chuckles. Here's one I heard years ago from a coworker of my wife who said, "Yah, I used to have a 70 Challenger just like yours, same yellow color and a 383 too. But mine was a 69 and a hemi." Huh? Four things completely wrong in one utterance.

And yes, the "posi" grates on my nerves!

I've had 300 mopars over 50 years, and still say "posi". I also can't read a code plate or a build sheet. The guys who used these cars for their intended purpose and raced them, didn't car about that stuff. When the late 80's came....it all got ruined by the guys into it for the money.

You were saved on proper rear end etiquette because you used a spool, lol. Cheers.
