Hello all,

I have recently acquired a nice 70 barracuda with a 318 3 speed on the floor. looking to make it my own with a personal touch without changing it to much. Maybe a hotter 318 and fresh suspension. Got it from my father in law and hes owned it since 77'. well thats about it for now.

First on anybody list should be safety. Upgrade to power disc brakes. Performance wise, rebuild the front end(bushings, offset uppers and standard lowers, ball joints, tie rod ends, sleeves, idler arm, shocks etc...) really, just buy a front end kit from a suspension supplier like PST. They are one of our site sponsors and carry high quality parts, with a discount for FEBO members.
Once you have the braking and suspension taken care of you can now go just about any direction you want to go engine performance wise.

Welcome to the site. Document all of your work with pictures as you go and save all of your parts, just in case.

Oh and one more thing, I noticed that your car also has cruise control. A very rare option. DO NOT THROW IT AWAY !!! Whether it works or not. If it doesn't work and you don't want to fix it in the near future. As soon as you do any intake/carb changes, Take good pictures on how it is installed before you remove it.

Welcome to the site drewkins! Looks like you have a nice solid ride with everything there. Like moparleo said, if you remove anything be sure to keep it.

Welcome, Looks like you have a very solid foundation to build from.
X2 on rebuilding/upgrading the safety items like brakes and suspension first off.
