Hello All,

Here from St Louis MO. Had my 71 Challenger since 1982. Took out the 318 and added a 440. Then made it thru college with me. Converted it to EFI in 1991. Never could get it tuned correctly and it sat. It's been in need of restoring for years. Finally have a garage and it's now possible. Been collecting parts for 10 years. Looking forward to making progress now.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
Fuel injection on a 440 on the street had to be a rarity in ‘91. What does your setup look like?

Welcome from Michigan. Glad you were able to hang on to your Challenger through your college years.

Don't have a photo right now. Weiand Team G I had milled for MSD injector pockets of course filled with MSD injectors. Took some aluminum D shaped bar stock and milled for the injectors. Held in place with some makeshift brackets that somehow worked. Accell/DFI controller. Modded a 750 vacuum carb throttle bracket with epoxy to hold the TPS. Got ahold of a Holley rep and sent me a used throttle body unit without the injectors. That was not a step up. Poor flow. Took that off and still have the 750 on there. Added a small sump to the tank and ran 1/2" up front. Mallory regulator on supply side. Used the original supply line as a return. Not a good idea! MSD EFI inline pump by tank. Makeshift stuff for sure.
