I was going through the paces of r-'n-r on my '70 Challenger's taillights when I heard the dreadful sound of "SNAP". My first thoughts was, "Too tight - Cracked the plastic!" Unfortunately, that wasn't the problem. Turns out that I broke the inside corner connecting the outer rim of the bezel (that thin strip of good ole' chinese potmetal). Thinking that I could just 'order a new set', I immediately rethought that thought after pricing it in my handy-dandy catalog (besides the set, I have, is relatively new). SO!...After a few choice words I thought I would stop in and see if anyone has a cold 'fix' for potmetal.
BTW - the bezel was going on flat with little resistance to the nut and bolt.
