Hear again I went one step beyond. I made a soft copper gasket for the oil pump. The weakest link or just problematic!

Need a little help. About a week ago, I heard my rockers become a bit noisy. Recently rebuilt engine with Break In Oil was doing fine. Little over 400 miles thought I needed to change the in Oil. Changed the oil and filter, added 5W-30 Synthetic oil with an STP filter. Started the car and chatter became louder with near zero oil pressure. Thought it was the oil, changed to conventional with no luck. Shut the engine and put the car in the garage. Have been driving this car without any issues until now. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

10-30 with a WIX filter. 5W-30 is for later model engines... Try before you pull it...just a thought, man

Without spinning the crankshaft with running the pump, you're not going to get oil to both rocker arms. And you'll only get it to one rocker arm if the holes in #4 camshaft bearing just happen to be lined up. Every Melling HV pump I've installed used the same bolts as the factory pump.

It is accurate to say that if you don’t see the oil flowing on top of each head that you have not fully primed the engine.
