Thanks. One of the first steps I took was to open up the harness and inspect for damaged/melted wires. So far, I can't see anything obvious, but that doesn't mean it's not there.

I ran out of time yesterday, but I'll try to get back to it tomorrow.

When you get to it. I'm thinking any wires that carry a heavy load would be suspect. Battery feed to amp gauge alternator to amp gauge,things of that sort.
