Quarter Seam Fixes

Not interested in leading the roof to quarter seam. It will be welded.

Have researched two options, the first is to weld it solid, finish it with grinder, use weld through primer, bridge it with metal and then weld that solid. Followed by a little filler.

Second option, cut that joint out entirely and butt weld it together.

Which method would you prefer? I am leaning towards option 1.

The factory spot welded that joint just like the rest of them, I'd replicate that and just use a good metal to metal filler. You don't want to introduce too much heat to the panels.
