Is the best and only way to remove the studs that the trim clips to on the quarters, doors and fenders just to grab the old grinder or body saw and cut away? I want to smooth the sides of my 72. Not sure if the picture shows them but you all know what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Grab it with a pliers, give it a couple of turns in both directions, and it should break off, allowing for less grinding. Don't pull out on it, otherwise you'll have a high spot.

Speaking of those darn things, since they don't come with new sheet metal, are they sold somewhere or is there a trick to attach the trim clips without the studs? I've never had to deal with this issue in the past but my cuda had to have some new skin in the rear window area and the filler panel between the trunk lid and the rear glass had no studs attached. Any help / advice would be appreciated.
