Red stripe on 70 Cuda grill ?

I just noticed something. Several pics I've seen of 70 Cuda grills have a red stripe. Mine does not have one. Should it ?

AAR and Gran coupe

Standard barracudas and had a grey grill with red accents.
Grand couple had grey grill chrome accents.
AAR had black grill with chrome accents.

Is that red painted on? Or is it a trim piece that clips over the center bar?

The red bars clip onto the grill.
