Back in the day shot of Posey getting the Challenger refueled.

Shouldn’t there be some sort of cage visible in that pic? Or seats other than stock?

I met Sam Posey years ago and had him sign one of my SIAC newsletters with his car on the cover. Good guy.

I'm curious as to what car that is. The #77 car that ran in the Trans Am series did not have "T/A" stripes and callouts on the side.

I used to work on Sam's personal vehicle for many years. He signed the glove box door on my T/A. An amazing man on and off track...

You guys are making some good points.
No roll bar, a white interior
The 77 car in race form had RT stripes and a vinyl top
If you look at the car in this pic, the stickers on the front fender seem to be the same as the other 77 car pics.
It looks like the TA stripes were cut in this pic to make the number 77 decal
Not sure what this car is?
An earlier version may be?

Now that’s a race car! The top pic is staged and is not a race car imo.. look closely at the background and other activity other than the car, I can’t figure it out but it sure doesn’t look like a pit area.

Yes it's staged !
The white smoke was added for flare...
Too bad.
