Hello. I put a 750 Holley Reman double pump carb on my 340 and I notice with hard acceleration that I get a slight sputter and the odd backfire. Am I too lean ? Jetting issue ??? Holley recommended I increase the fuel squirter size to a .35.

Please help. Thanks !

not enough info to tell , you need to work through a prcess to set up any carb , Float levels adjusted correctly , idle mix adjusted equally , measure the vacuum & make sure you have enough vacuum idling in gear to keep the power valve closed , is it spuutering as the primary is opened , the accelerator linkage coul dhave play in it , or the squirter could be too small , , if it si stumbling as the ssecondary opens the rear accel linkage coul dhave play or have too small squirter or the float level could be low , does it run well after a second or too or does it continue to run badly ?
