I'm thinking of putting Traction Bars on my 70 Challenger R/t I've always liked the way they looked !
my question is will I have problems with the Shocks ?

No you shouldn't if you pick the right bars. I have no doubt you are about get responses stating that they are not needed, waste of money, look like ****, should only be on Chevies, etc. I have a set on my Challenger but I used a different type, they are similar to the old Assassin Bars.

I would say if you are going to use some, do use the cheap ones like in the picture you posted, at least use some decent ones that replace the bottom plate and have a provision to mount your shocks.

BTW is that a stock rear valance? The exhaust holes look strange to me, maybe its just the angle. You need some stock Challenger tips.

If you decide to proceed, I have a set for sale. $30 plus shipping from Ohio 44216. Pictures available if interested..... They look like the ones you show illustrated..

Any of the "good" bars replace the bottom plate. The ones that just loop over the leafs front and back are pretty cheap, probably work on a mono leaf car ok though.

Remember when you go over something that those things are there.
No obstacles on a track, which was what they were supposed to be for.
Never saw Landy or anyone else of the era use them though. Mostly high school guys...

The main reason I put them on is because I like the way they Look.

I always thought they looked cool also. I run Caltracs on my Challenger and they work...
