Both my turn signals won't cancel after I installed a Borgeson steering box. I followed the installation instructions, the steering wheel is not centered. I read the other treads about turn signals not canceling. I read that when the crush can is installed, the canceling pin should be between the two canceling arms on the switch. When I pulled the crush can, the canceling pin was at the six o'clock position. Do I need to have the tires straight ahead, and re-clock the steering shaft at the steering box so that the the pin is installed between the canceling arms on the turn signal switch? Nothing but problems with this steering column. From missing parts to steering resistance, and turn signals not canceling. Thanks

yea, I would "re-clock" the steering shaft so it lines up, the way you describe, like the steering wheel points straight ahead when the wheels are driving straight.

that said, if it was off prior to a front-end alignment, the steering linkage may not be dead center, meaning not the same number of turns from center, lock to lock.

I haven't had the wheels aligned yet. I haven't driven it a lot since I installed the power steering unit. When I installed the steering box, I checked for equal number of turns each way. I'll get the wheels aligned before I re-clock the steering shaft. Thanks.

Just to clarify, I'm suggesting you correct the steering shaft alignment BEFORE you pay for a front end wheel alignment. A good shop will make sure the steering wheel is oriented straight before aligning the wheels.

Got it. Thanks

For clarification, did they cancel before the swap?
Having a hard time seeing how the 2 are connected.
I did the Borg swap, centered the box turn to turn, and bolted everything back together.
The steering wheel is slightly off center, but to be expected.

The left would cancel but not the right. There were a lot of issues with the column. Several parts were missing that caused the steering shaft to move up and down. I replaced the parts, after watching the Cuda Cody videos. I also just replace the crush can because the old one was damaged (previous owner used a screwdriver instead of a puller. The canceling pin is at six o'clock with the flat splines at 3 o'clock. I'm checking to see if the crush can is down far enough. There is about 3/16 to 1/4 of a gap between the can and the column. As mentioned, with the wheels straight and the crush can installed, the pin is at the 6 o'clock position. In another thread, it said the pin should be between the canceling arms of the turn signal switch. I'll check everything again. Thanks.
