Hello.
I have 73 barracuda with a 318. I just installed a Edelbrock 2176 intake and a 1406 carburetor. I installed the Edelbrock 1481 lever adapter as well. I know that I'll have to probably remove the cruise control. My issue is the factory throttle bracket cable not lining up with the linkage on the carburetor Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I am trying to remember what I did when I went to a 4bbl on my original 318, but I believe I had to swap to a 4bbl linkage, but that was also a 3 piece kickdown linkage I had already. I believe there is clearance to move the attach point inboard.
Looking at my old pics it appears my Carter carb did not require the adapter:

I have since swapped to a 360 and Thermoquad, so I don't know how well that applies for the linkage, but the key is in the linkage used (of course);

Unless you like to fabricate, you'd be better off going with a 340 throttle bracket and 3 piece kickdown leakage.

I picked this from Rick Ehrenberg (Mopar Action editor) who now sells on eBay under ricks-mopars. $76.97 Worked with my Edelbrock LD 340 manifold and a Carter carb For MOPAR LA Tall Intake THROTTLE BRACKET Kit 340 360 318 Dodge Plymouth 67-91
