So I've decided that this is too much of a project and I don't have the necessary space or equipment. 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe. 383 4 speed hardtop. Engine is out of the car. Not original, but date correct. Garage stored since '85. Repainted at some point in the past and they painted the engine bay black. Many new parts still in boxes. I'm thinking at this point, I should just buy something I can drive and maintain. There's pictures on my previous posts. The lowest price I've been able to find online is 19K. Is that reasonable? It's one of 341 with the drivetrain combo.

Still a good looking car!
Can you post the fender tag? I have not seen it yet. Would like to decode it.
That price may be reasonable. But the options could allow for some more value.

In my option. You will and I mean you will have sellers remorse. From what I can see. you have the space to. Get the elbow grease out and clean Pressure wash the engine bay it all might come off. Then paint. There are some good paint rattle cans out there. I would drop in the motor and drive it. Go rent a lift or hang from ceiling if enough support. Put a 4x4 across a few rafters. Then one on the under side with a vertical jack post if need be. Engine is about 600 lbs. Pull hood, roll car back, lift engine with come along or lift, roll car forward, lower engine. I know we can get you though it.

Let me see you had the car since before 85. You know more about it then the one you buy!
You buy an other. It will be a project.buy something I can drive and maintain
You buy an other. It will be a project + maintenance. Pretty much what you have! You would be just giving someone your money for their headaches and making it yours.

Bottom line. I don't think you will find one in that good of condition that you have.

List what you know what needs done. What you need to get yet.
Other here are very good at evaluating the cars situation.

Thanks. My uncle owned the car and gave it to me back in 2017. I don't know a lot about it or what he intended to do before he passed. It's been at his house since he bought it. Problem is that it's 250 miles away and I don't have room in my garage. Guess it won't hurt to think about it a bit longer.

I have 3 garages now and still not enough room. 24x24, 28x28 and a 30x 40. Looking to build a 40 x 60 next on the neighbors property.
don't have room
I get that!

But some how I manage it! I work outside! 1million candle power per sq foot on a sunny day. Hard to duplicate.
