Got a quote for $25k for paint, Vinyl top and moldings installed

I spent $15,000 for body and paint work this winter for my car. The good painters here in Indianapolis are backed up for several years. It took me a year to get my car in and over 6 months to get it back. I spent an extra $10,000 to have metal repaired and replaced, and to have gaps and lines...

    Is this correct? distributor install…

I verified that i was at correct TDC, by looking through the exhaust port. When i turn the engine crankshaft about 90 degrees past TDC, the exhaust valve starts to open. I have the balancer mark right at the mark, and the distributor rotor pointing right at No. 1 cylinder. Are these positions...

    Vinyl top is on

If i remember right from when i did mine, i was able to wrap enough material around, and cover The drip rail. The molding then goes over the top of the material.

Awesome! I did my first one several years ago, and it took me a few days just to get bold enough to get it done.

    Steering gear box, flow return

I pulled it apart to see why the spring looks cockeyed. The flat surface that bolts o the pump is at an angle, and that is why the spring looks sideways. Small spring sits in the bottom, then a plunger/valve body, and then a long spring, and finally the cap bolt. that is why i was wondering if...

    Steering gear box, flow return

Does the flow return/hose barb attachment to the steering gear box have a steel ball check valve that seats under the spring? This is a firm fell rebuild, and i was wondering, because from the picture, it looks a little odd.

    Vinyl Top Trim

I originally used measurements from someone on a different site. Several holes were way off. I figured out i had to lay my trim on the car, tape it down in the best position possible and draw along the edges onto the car. I was able to get my holes better placed, but had to weld in several...

Need advice on getting my hood latch to work properly 1970 Challenger

I bought a Dyancorn hood latch and bracket off of eBay, at the time i could not find an original used. I was able to get the brace/brackets to fit with a little massaging, but i can not get the latch assembly to work. I have twisted, adjusted and tweaked every which way i can. It just wont...
