Looking forward; I picked up a restored 4934S Carter AVS carburetor. The carb that is on my car currently is a 4611SA; designated for a 69 340 4 sp car, obviously not the original carb. The car ran great with this carb, but is in dire need of a rebuild.
I also have a collection of 4934 carbs that I picked up over the years (all in need of restoration), as well as a 4639-specific to a 69 340 automatic w ac.
I looked at the cost of sending one of them out and decided to just pick up a correct/restored carb ready to bolt on.
Happy with the purchase (though it is one month off from my SPD-not critical for me)

That carb looks great Phil. Do you happen to know who restored it?

I looked at the cost of having one of my carbs restored and for the price, I got a completed, ready to install carb that is correct for my engine and year. Check this out;

Vendor even has a 3131S AFB for the 1961 Chrysler and Imperial with a 413.

Also has a nice AFB for a 343 Javelin and some carbs for GM cars with the AFB unit.

I use Woodruff Carburetor for all my carb needs. He’s at the top of the page to the right and he’s an absolute pleasure to deal with and very affordable.

He does have a really nice, rebuilt 1970 383 V8 - Carter AVS Carburetor 4732S for automatic/AC with a J9 date code.
Has the original tag on it. Selling for $419; reasonably priced IMO

Picked up a rough rim blow wheel on the cheap. Will clean it up as a driver wheel. Even though it did not come on my specific car; I wanted to have one if the mood arises to install it in the A66 vert.
Wood is in decent condition; work needed in cleaning up the spokes. I already picked up the center cap and horn button.

At last! Lol. It looks great!
You remember the movie "I God" or "Me and God"....
With George Burns and John Denver (bless his soul)
Denver asked Burns "did you really make every thing in six days? And Burns after taking a drag from his cigar said, I thought about it for five days and made it all in one day"

A job is well done when its well meditated.

And thus spake Budha!

Taking my time welding the seam for the two trunk floor halves. Did the initial seam lap welds; the lip on one side of the trunk seam needs to be filled and ground down as smooth. Hope this comes out ok; first time with this task and I am a new welder.

Pic of the back of the trunk floor; have not welded in the trunk latch brace yet; just test fitting!

Thanks for the positive comments. I found that the best setting on the welder was raise the wire speed and #2 on the temp with 24 wire. :thankyou:

Trunk spare tire bracket; have my original convertible bracket and additionally bought an AMD bracket.

Looks like the original bracket was installed with some small stitch welds (not plug welded) Looks to be correct to just place some stitch welds on the lip of the bracket to the trunk floor?
Will install the repro AMD bracket which matches exactly to the original.
