I talked to the guys at Phoenix graphic this afternoon...and they assured me their stripe matched the OEM stripe.,,,we shall see...

I have two sets of stripes that were purchase years ago....one set back in 1977 or 78 and the other is post marked 1983....oldest set which is shown in on the correct 3M backing paper with mopar part numbers on the box and stripe...Second is not on 3m paper or has the part number but is identical to the old set...

The newer one's stripe looks a little longer in the door handle cut out area too could this be shrinkage due to age?

well..the new stripe from Phoenix Graphic matched the original one...we thought about that also but the new one confirms that the other does not fit..

I found one many years ago on top of the glove box...then lost it...then found it again...had to piece it together with tape...but this one has been under the back seat since 1970 waiting for me....

Dropped a bunch of parts off this morning plus the tires....getting close to being done ...interior work going on now...

Been awhile....but we started working on it again...Block is in machine shop due to a bolt breaking off while taking the timing chain off.
Being hot tanked...new cam bearing plus removing bolt....also bell housing
sing being hot tanked...crank polished...and flywheel surfaced....
All should be back around 2 week of new year....

Got all the TRW L2316F pistons cleaned....getting new bearing and rings..
Got most of parts needed ....I need to ship the rocker arms to RAS in Redding CA to get them bushed.

Wow! awesome JOB on your AAR. If possible could you post some pics of your original 4 speed trans from both sides? I still have my FE5 4 speed T/A that i purchased in high school and would like some reference photos of the original T/A-AAR specific trans. Thanks

This is so cool. Nice labor of love. Are the wheels original , or, aftermarket? Looking to buy repops as finding date coded is a holy grail! Plus ,center caps should be "light" argent?
