I have a 71 Challenger that I will be putting a small block into and I want electronic ignition. I have an opportunity to buy a new M&H HU102EM harness for a 1970… how much difference is there between a 1970 and 71 engine bay harness? Can I use this harness without creating problems? I appreciate any advice. Thanks

Do you have a tach? Small block and big block are different. The length and connection points are different. That's really about it. the dash harness is where there are some differences in model and year.
You will have to get the plug for the ignition module and wire it in.

The car had a 318 originally. I will be adding a Rallye gauge cluster with tach. Sounds fairly straightforward

If it had a standard cluster there will be some minimal changes to be made to the dash harness. I think someone here has done it.

The car is a real project. I will most likely be adding a rallye dash harness as well.
Just by fluke I ended up with an opportunity to buy some new aftermarket parts at wholesale prices on the car I just bought
