Hey, my 440 engine block numbers are 253643010. What does the last two digits mean?
Where do I find the production date?

The 10 means it is mold number ten. They casted a lot of 440s. The production date should be on the pad by the front intake rail. See 1970 413 example. It was completed January 30th, 1970.

Your block is a '66-72 casting, and is there an ID pad on the driver side rail near the oil pan? '68 and later had a serial number, that will tell you the plant, engine displacement, and production date.
