OK so I am almost ready for paint and noticed that I forgot the roof drip rails. dug out the stuff filling them in found no holes or rust just tiny pin holes. so my question is since I am going back to the vinyl top what should I use to replace the stuff I took out ? it was old and brittle and actually looked like bondo. I have seam sealer or do I need something specific for the drip rails ?

I am looking for the same information. I don't suppose you have been sitting around since May waiting for an answer. I found a product recommended on other forums called Drip Chek. If you haven't already completed this work, you may want to check it out.

Any quality seam sealer that has good flexibility when dry and paintable you just want to prevent moisture getting in between the roof skin spot welds and the drip rails.
