Hey there everyone. Ive been creeping on here for sometime now, and always wanted to do a thread. Ive been pretty slow at the restoration, so I felt that the slow updating of pictures and info wouldn't get much traffic. So after talking with a few guys on here, I decided, what the heck, might as well start one.
Ill do my best to explain pictures, but if I miss something you want to know more about, let me know. I have over 2000 pictures, so for obvious reasons, i wont be posting all. If there is something specific you want to see, just ask, ill see what I can do to help.
Like the title says, this is my first complete restoration. And honestly, this is my first mopar, with the exception of my wifes jeep, but a 2013 Jeep doesnt count. I enjoy most everything mechanical, but ive always leaned more GM. So this car was a little out of my comfort zone, and that proved more difficult as its my first complete restoration.
As far as my goal with this car, I want to drive it. Nice days, few sunny road trips, and take the wife out in it. It will also be something I want to hand down to the children in future. Being that Im wanting a really nice driver, I havent been super focused on NOS parts, or proper finishes. Im keeping my date correct parts that tend to wear, i.e. starter, water pump, alternator, hoses, original wiring, ect. in a box on the shelf in case things in life change. As far as colors go, Im trying to get the suspension all powder coated. Just going a semi gloss black, much like chassis black. Well Ill get to the pics, and please, if you see something that is not correct, looks weird, I would like to know. if i can i will explain why, and if not, Im open to learning.
