It's in my Challenger now that is a No E.T./Grudge car. Can't say, yet. It was more than everyone expected. And is alot more on the kits. Still only a 10.5:1 pump gas engine since it is still a driven street car.

Making my stretched, taller & longer "super shaker next to adapter the factory style shaker to the tunnel ram, dual Dominator carbs. All mocked up here with clearance all around. Just needs to be all fiberglassed back together, body worked & painted next. It will still sit on the engine & seal to the hood just like stock.

I like the "Shaker hood" look. Just too easy to put a Super Stock style scoop to house. I also have a B-body GTX that I'm looking to "Hemify" (For lack of a better word.) To utilize the stock looking Air Grabber. It's not easy hiding a big hemI build. Yes, both B and E-bodies are built for a street hemi. But a build with 2 Dominators? That's a different animal. Good hunting.

NHRA recertified the 25.5 chassis spec. Man, that is an expensive decal but does add value to the car overall.

I bet. Nothing cheap about any hemi build. Especially if you are targeting a class or bracket. The (What I call "Blue Bloods") who only build to exact stock specs pay dearly for that restriction.

My Chevy friends love to ask. "If hemi's are so great? Why isn't all motors hemis?" To where I reply. "Because you cheap Chevy boys heads would explode if you learned the costs?"

There isn't a big block Chevy or Ford ever going to go 330+MPH in a 1000'. Just sayin. Only Hemi's can do that. And, yes my Fel Pro head gaskets fit right on the top fuel heads we have at work. Same to this day only improved.

I've used that answer too. Hemi's are overrated you say? Tell that to John Force. I like Chevy too. Don't get me wrong. But they seem to have a deeper prejudice. And if I try to explain Fords can even be a tougher challenge? They look at me like I kicked their dog!

My tastes even gets more specific. I've never owned a Dodge. All Plymouths. the pic below is of my '70 Cuda build. The car was heavily modified back in the 70s. So building back to original was just too costly. So I went the other route. Let's try something crazy. A Schubeck 904 ci DOHC monster.

Sweet. My buddy has a 959" BBC based mountain motor that makes like 1750 h.p. on motor and then has 6 kits. Not a typo. Yes, 6 kits. The car has been a .092 60' and over 213 MPH in the 1/8th on 10-1/2" tires. (GRUDGE CAR).

That's crazy fast. I'm assuming an all tube chassis car? Mine is about 1200 horse at 5200 rpm and 1100 ft/lbs at 3000 on pump 91 octane. I've tinkered with idea of turbos on E-85. But why? It is going to be street/strip. (And I'm using "Street" loosely) I have a JW Ultrabell power glide. But may consider an alternative transmission. The power glide will heat up too much. Maybe the Passion Performance A855 5 speed? The .70 overdrive 5th gear would be perfect for a lower RPM motor. The car was originally an A833 4-speed. So mount is still present. With a 2 or 3 disk Ram clutch? It might tame enough for the trans to handle the torque load. It's reported to handle a 800 horse 572 hemi? I'm still researching.
