Hey guys how's it going? My name is George and I'm 24 years old. I was lucky enough to buy my dream car about 3 weeks ago. I got a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran Coupe and have huge plans for it in the future but I am just glad I was able to get my hands on the body for now. I'm still in college, so this will be an extremely slow build. In the mean time I will attempt to gather as much information as possible so that I can do this right the first time around. Thanks for taking the time to read this and also thanks for all the future help haha.

Welcome aboard. First things to do on your car. #1. Take a lot of pictures of everything, inside and out before you take anything apart. Only way to remember where it all goes, especially on a slow rebuild. #2. Get a factory service manual. When you take something off. Bag it and tag it.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! You were very lucky to get your hands on that beauty. Is there a fender tag or build sheet with it?

Welcome! I have A gran coupe also, I like the overhead console.although mine didn't work when I got it, it works now. A service manual on C-D will be A good thing to have.

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice. I am looking into getting a service manual right now. As for the build sheet, I haven't looked yet due to school but it does have a fender tag that matches numerous numbers on the vehicle. Sadly, I don't think I will be going through a original factory restoration but rather a more closer "restomod" build.

Edit: Figured I'd add a couple pictures of the engine bay, I apologize for the dirt and grime, I haven't touched it since the day I bought it.

Welcome from So Cal, Moparleo is right, take tons of pictures, bag and tag everything, and do not throw anything out!

I definitely will try to take as many pictures and stay organized. I might try to pick up a motor and transmission this weekend (will be asking a question in one of the other sub-forums soon haha). Thanks again for the advice
