I bought this car in my senior year of high school... Here is the original ad, My Dad came with me, and I actually paid $10,500
That's me in the picture sanding the car, and my Dad did the bodywork and paint.

Welcome to FEBO. You are a lucky guy. Not for the car. But because of your father. I'm going to guess when your dad drove it there's a smile from ear to ear.

My Dad wants it bad..lol offered to buy it, but I will never sell.. he loves it, my brother bought 66 tempest in his senior year, and cloned it, my Dad did all the metal work and painted it.. my brother put a 4speed in it and a 67 GTO 400 in it.. still has it today. We are a just over a year apart.

:welcome: aboard. Looks a lot better in your Avatar picture then when you got it.
The pictures are pretty old. What does it look like now ?
Did you repaint the engine compartment body color like it was from the factory or still black ?

Welcome to FEBO from the desert! Nice Challenger! Good to see some young guys taking an interest in old Mopars! They're fun to drive!

Thanks, it looks exactly the same as you seen in the pic other than some cracking, in the paint on the fiberglass hood.. its been parked all these years, My Dad used Standox bc/cc the gloss on the car is deep and extremely nice, it's never been waxed, just washed.. the picture of me standing next to it was about 4 years ago, It got a wash..
My Dad is excited that I am going to get it road worthy again.. I have a video of me my brother and Dad having a 100 yard drag race..lol I smoked my tires the entire way, the cam in this car was big, I know it was a purple cam, very choppy idle, probably why it has a 3000rpm stall..

No, the previous owner put some kind of sealer on it, textured sealer, same thing with the frame, so my Dad did not paint it, it was left black..

Here's a picture of me, my brother and Dad's with my youngest brother... and some pics of the challenger. You will see my old fender on the garage wall, I forgot to put the pins on the hood, at about 40mph the hood lifted up and ripped from the hinge and flew over the fender and put a big dent on the top.. I can't believe my father could piece that hood together.. he had to completely re-do the area where the hinges were and the front of the hood was cracked..
