Hello from VA!
I have a 1971 Challenger that I am rebuilding. I guess it is more of a RestoMod (at least those are my big plans) than a restoration. Don’t worry - I am starting with a base model.
The Big Plan:
· Rebuild the 440 to a 500ci stroked roller motor with fuel injection (built but not installed)
· Add sub frame connectors (done)
· Replace rear suspension with the RMS Street Lynx (Done)
· Replace front suspension and K-frame with QA1 tubular (In progress)
· Replace 727 with 46RH for the overdrive (In progress)
· Add in-tank fuel pump for EFI (In progress)
· Replace racing seats (not comfortable) with original seats (In progress)
· Replace non-working gauges with Dakota VHX
· Restore/repaint engine bay (pretty much done, painted and now replacing parts)
· Maybe add vintage AC (originally an AC car but all parts are gone and PO installed non-AC dash pad) – high on the wife’s list for summer cruising
Thanks in advance for answering any dumb questions I come up with along the way !
