Hi all. I have a '70 Challenger convertible. Originally a 318, I'm in the process of swapping in a '71 440 I've had lying around since '85 (out of an Imperial that I wrecked). During this process I decided to restore the engine compartment and windshield frame. My issue follows.
I disassembled the windshield trim and removed the windshield to cure some rust in the lower corners about a year ago, and I'm reassembling the windshield trim in preparation for installing the windshield. Something doesn't seem right about the A-pillar trim. The stainless piece that surrounds the a-pillar has a gap between it and the piece that hold the rubber for the door window seal. This gap allows the painted frame to show through. The gap is widest at the top of the a-pillar, then narrows in the middle and widens slightly at the bottom. I've attached a picture.
Is this correct or am I missing another seal or something
